COVID-19: How Can You Help?

Coronavirus represents an unprecedented challenge for all of us. Here are four ways that you can help reduce the impact of COVID-19 in North Central Washington.

  1. Stay Home and Social Distance. Whenever possible, Washington residents should stay home. In the event individuals need to go out for essential activities, it is important to stay at least six feet away from others. These practices will slow the transmission of the disease and reduce the number of COVID-19 cases in the community. By limiting the spread, we will avoid over-taxing the local healthcare systems’ capacity to care for sick people. It is vital that we take precautions seriously—it will save lives.
  2. Give Blood.  There is a blood shortage, and the American Red Cross is urging healthy Americans to give blood. In response to COVID-19 concerns, they are scheduling donors ahead of time to ensure everyone’s safety. For more, visit: www.redcrossblood.org.
  3. Donate PPE. The Confluence Health Foundation is collecting approved, unopened personal protective equipment (PPE) on behalf of Confluence Health. For more information, visit: www.confluencehealth.org/covid19-donations/.
  4. Support Confluence Health’s COVID-19 Response. Funding may be used to offset COVID-19 treatment costs, purchase critical medical supplies for healthcare providers, meet the demands associated with Confluence Health’s response to the pandemic, and more. COVID-19 marks a new chapter in our nation’s history—together we will get through this. For more information about COVID-19 visit www.confluencehealth.org.
