A Life Saved: Patient’s Experience Inspires a Gift

Recently, we received an email from one of our longtime donors, and it truly moved us. This donor had an intense experience—after a near-fatal medical event, they spent two days in the Intensive Care Unit and another night in the Progressive Care Unit.

In their heartfelt message, they expressed how grateful they were for the amazing care they received from their doctors, nurses, and CNAs and said, “I am a yearly donor, but would like to donate just because all these people had a hand in basically saving my life.”

It’s clear this donor understands that while you can’t always say “thank you” to each and every member of your care team, you can still show your gratitude through giving. That’s because each gift to the Foundation goes back to the programs and services that help our community thrive. It’s a beautiful way to pay it forward!
