Foundation Publishes Recommendations Report: Healthcare and Homelessness in the Wenatchee Valley

The Confluence Health Foundation has published a report that describes the rationale for supporting internal and external investments in resources that target the unique needs of patients experiencing homelessness. Included are the results of two datasets describing healthcare utilization and health outcomes of local patients experiencing homelessness. In addition, the report summarizes the impact of homelessness on the organization’s resources and the threat these impacts pose to Confluence’s mission and values. The report also chronicles feedback from community partners, which provides further context about specific needs within the community and highlights recommendations that would maximize the impact of future investments. The goal of this report is to create a platform for decision-making and collaboration that will lead to health improvement for people experiencing homelessness, as well as a stronger community for all.
