Sage Coffee House and the Power of the Tip Jar

As if their delicious sandwiches and coffee isn’t enough of a reason to love Sage Coffee House and Bistro in Quincy.

Sage’s owner, Charlene Sherman, is at it again.

Each October, Charlene uses the power of her tip jar to raise money in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month and donates the proceeds to the Confluence Health Foundation. Some funding has gone to the Compassionate Care Fund, which helps pay for mammograms and post-treatment care for patients in need. Last year, she donated to the Your Local Cancer Care campaign, which will bring a state-of-the-art radiation treatment facility to the Columbia Basin. Over the past four years, with the help of her customers, Charlene has donated thousands of dollars towards efforts that impact cancer care in North Central Washington. No doubt there are many patients that have benefited from this simple but powerful act of kindness.

We are honored to have donors and friends like Charlene, who use their connection to the community to do something amazing.

Stop in, grab a coffee, and say thanks to Charlene next time you’re headed through Quincy!
