Scholarships

The Confluence Health Foundation provides scholarships to help Confluence Health employees and their family members further their education. The application process occurs at the beginning of the year. Criteria for each scholarship is listed below. We urge candidates to read the criteria for each award and apply for multiple scholarships whenever applicable.

Scholarship funds are made possible by generous donations from caring people in our community. It is our privilege to help applicants further their education. We urge candidates to read the criteria for each award and apply for multiple scholarships whenever applicable. Preference will be given to applicants who do not have a Bachelor’s or advanced degree. Awards are announced in May and scholarship funds will be available for up to one year from the award date. NO REIMBURSEMENTS FOR EXPENSES INCURRED PRIOR TO THE AWARD DATE.

Criteria

Award

Confluence Health Employee Scholarship
  • Currently employed at CWH, CH, or WVH for at least one year
  • Plan to continue employment at CWH, CH, or WVH
  • Accepted degree related to healthcare to enhance current position or advancement potential
  • GPA of 2.0 or higher
Multiple awards covering tuition, books, and fees (acceptance, registration, lab, and technology fees only)
Wenatchee Valley Street Rods Scholarship
  • Currently employed at CWH, CH, or WVH for at least one year
  • Plan to continue employment at CWH, CH, or WVH
  • Recent community service
  • Accepted degree related to healthcare to enhance currentposition or advancement potential
  • GPA of 2.0 or higher
Three annual awards of $1,000 for tuition, books, and fees (acceptance, registration, lab, and technology fees only)
Career Assistance Scholarship
  • Currently employed at CWH, CH, or WVH for at least one year
  • Plan to continue employment at CWH, CH, or WVH· GPA of 2.5 or higher
  • Working toward a degree applicable to a position at CWH, CH, or WVH
  • Post-undergrad or post-grad certificate related to current job may be considered
  • Not applicable for nursing majors (AND, BSN, MSN)
One award of $2,000 for tuition, books, and fees (acceptance, registration, lab, and technology fees only)
Margaret Weed RN to BSN Scholarship
  • Acceptance in a Wenatchee Valley College BSN program
  • Chelan, Douglas Grant, or Okanogan County resident
  • Open to anyone
One award of $1,500 for tuition, books, and fees (acceptance, registration, lab, and technology fees only)
Dianne Kasnic Prinz
RN to BSN Completion
  • Employed as an RN in Chelan/Douglas County
  • Enrolled in a BSN program
  • Intend to remain employed in NCW
  • Open to anyone
One award of $2,500 for RN to BSN completion for tuition, books, and fees (acceptance, registration, lab, and technology fees only)
Jean Wood Nursing Award
  • GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • Second-year student in the WVC nursing program
  • Chelan/ Douglas County resident
  • Open to anyone
One award (up to $5,768) at Wenatchee Valley College for tuition, books, and fees (acceptance, registration, lab, and technology fees only)
Oncology Grateful Patient Scholarship
  • Child or grandchild of a current Confluence Health Oncology Department employee (includes Central Washington Hospital Medical Oncology, Radiation Oncology, Wenatchee Valley Hospital Medical Oncology, or Wenatchee Valley Hospital Chemo/Infusion)
  • Enrolled in a medical field major
  • Attending classes on campus (no “online only”)
Multiple awards possible, with varying amounts.
